Pugmark — Terms of Use
These are the ground rules for using Pugmark. By making an account or posting anything, you're agreeing to them.
What Pugmark is — and is not
Pugmark is a place to post about missing pets, report sightings, and get help from people nearby. We connect people; we do not search for pets ourselves, verify that a listing is truthful, or guarantee that a pet will be found.
Matches suggested by the app are only suggestions. Always confirm for yourself that an animal is the right one before handing it over or collecting it.
Your account
- You need a working phone number to sign in, and you are responsible for what happens on your account.
- One person, one account. Do not impersonate anyone else.
- You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, or have a parent or guardian involved.
What you post
You keep ownership of your photos and text. By posting them you give us permission to display them inside Pugmark so the app can do its job — show your listing to people nearby, in the feed, on the map, and in match comparisons.
Only post photos you took or have the right to use, and only post about real pets. The content policy lists what is not allowed; breaking it can get content removed and accounts suspended.
Meeting people and sharing contact details
When a match is confirmed, you may end up exchanging phone numbers with a stranger. Use the same judgement you would for any online listing: meet in a public place, bring someone with you if you can, and don't send money to someone who has only sent you a photo.
Only use contact details you receive through Pugmark to sort out that specific pet. Using them for anything else — marketing, harassment, adding people to groups — is not allowed.
Paid features
Pugmark+ and Pugmark Business are optional paid upgrades. When paid plans go live they will be sold through Google Play, and payments, receipts, cancellations, and refunds are handled by Google under its own terms.
We may change what is included in a plan or what it costs; if we do, we will tell you before it affects a plan you are already paying for.
Moderation
We can remove content and suspend or close accounts that break these terms or the content policy, or that put other people at risk. Where it is reasonable to do so we will tell you why.
User-submitted map spots are reviewed before they appear publicly.
Liability
Pugmark is provided as-is. We cannot promise it will always be available, that listings are accurate, or that anyone who contacts you is who they say they are.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for what other users do, for anything that happens when you meet someone, or for indirect losses. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Ending things
You can stop using Pugmark and ask us to delete your account at any time. We can end your access if you break these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka will have jurisdiction over any dispute.
